Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
Veembly is run by Veegres Labs. This policy explains what we store about you, why, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can.
What we store
When you sign in: your email, the name and the profile picture Google shares with us, and an account id. When you use the site: the pins you add, the verifications you start, and the reports you send, with their dates.
What we do not store
We never store your exact location: every pin is rounded to about 100 metres before it is saved. We do not read what people write inside chats, only the chats' public pages.
Why
To let you sign in, to know who owns a pin, to keep the map free of abuse and to answer your feedback. We do not sell your data and we do not show personalised ads.
What other people see
Pins are public: the chat's name, picture, description, link and rounded place. Your email and your name are never shown to anyone. Owners see how many reports their pin has, never who sent them.
Cookies and storage
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. Your browser also remembers your theme, your language and where you last looked on the map. There are no tracking cookies.
Services we rely on
Google for signing in, OpenStreetMap for the map and for place names. While you look at the map your browser loads map tiles from these services, and chat pictures may load from the messengers' own servers.
How long we keep it
Your account stays until you ask us to delete it. The history of a pin (who added, verified or moved it) is kept for moderation even after the pin is removed. Feedback is kept until it has been dealt with.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, for its correction or deletion, and object to how we use it. Write to [email protected] from the email you sign in with. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date above, and we announce important changes on the site.
